Current Ongoing Studies of CBD
CBD shops are popping up all over the place, both in the United States and in other parts of the world. However, there are still a lot of unknowns concerning its use, at least as far as many medical professionals are concerned. It’s not necessarily that they don’t think CBD could potentially help with everything from fighting off the common cold to battling cancer, they just want to see more research before they start telling their patients to try it on a widespread level.
Fortunately, the research on CBD is gaining a lot of momentum. Currently, there are approximately seventeen studies being conducted on CBD. Moreover, a number of those studies have been in the works since 2017.
Can CBD Help Seizure Patients?
This was one of the first studies ever conducted on CBD and the results were nothing short of astonishing. Through laboratory research and trials in the real world, scientists discovered that patients who suffered from seizures could potentially be helped by CBD in a number of cases. As a matter of fact, those who had experienced a number of seizures that were resistant to traditional treatment were helped by taking CBD.
What About Fear and Anxiety?
Almost everyone is afraid of something. Whether your biggest fear involves public speaking or being in a large crowd, studies are currently being conducted on CBD’s ability to help calm those fears. Imagine what it would be like to reclaim your life and do the things you love to do without being saddled by fear almost all the time.
For anyone who suffers from severe anxiety, this study could potentially be a game-changer. Even now, many people are already taking CBD for just such things. More importantly, a number of them believe that it helps.
Can CBD Help Digestive Issues?
Another study that seems to be gaining a lot of ground is one centered around the potential for CBD to help those who suffer with various digestive issues. There have been suggestions that it might help with Crohn’s disease, a digestive issue that is characterized by severe abdominal pain, bloating and diarrhea. The more recent study suggests that it may also help those who suffer from Irritable Bowel Disease, more commonly known as IBS.
For some, IBS presents with diarrhea and other symptoms that are quite similar to Crohn’s disease. Others experience the pain and bloating along with chronic constipation. There appears to be promise that CBD may be able to help with both.
Can CBD Help Restore Cognitive Function After a Stroke?
Perhaps one of the most prolific studies currently being conducted is the one designed to determine whether or not CBD may be able to help after someone has suffered a stroke. The research is being done to determine if CBD can help restore cognitive function that was lost when the stroke occurred. At the moment, what little information is known looks promising.
Depending on the results of these studies, it’s likely that more will be conducted in the near future. It’s good that the medical community is doing these studies, as it could potentially validate the usefulness of CBD. In the end, it’s all about helping those who need it most.
